One day, every one of us must meet the Lord. That’s one appointment we will have to keep—whether we want to or not. This is true no matter what one's religion is. It does not even matter if one does not believe in God. That's because God is the Judge of all the earth. Currently, we are enjoying the grace of God, the love of God, and His longsuffering. But one day we will have to meet Him as the Judge of all the earth.
This podcast episode focuses on what the Bible refers to as the Great White Throne of judgment. It was shown to John in the book of the Revelation, chapter 20. The throne was signified as white because white represents purity or righteousness. The Lord's judgment will be pure and righteous. That’s refreshing given the corrupt and politically partisan judges of our day.
According to the Bible, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess to the glory of God that Jesus Christ is Lord. For many people, that confession will happen at the Great White Throne. Everybody is either going to confess Christ as Lord on this side of death or before the Great White Throne.

Christmas means different things to different people. For people of faith, Christ is the reason for the season. Christmas is the day we celebrate the virgin birth of Christ as the Savior of the world. Jesus is not a savior but the Savior. No one can come to the Father but by Him.
Though it has nothing to do with the real meaning of Christmas, one way we celebrate it is through giving and receiving gifts. Many of these gifts will be returned or exchanged immediately after Christmas. Oftentimes, that is because the gift was not a good match for the person receiving the gift. But the gift God gave to us on the first Christmas was the perfect gift. It perfectly addresses the one need we all have. That is our need to be saved from sin. Had we been able to save ourselves, there would have been no need for God to send His Son into the world.
God's perfect gift to us was motivated by love. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16, NASB). Love is the purest form of motivation. It is not the result of guilt, nor is it driven by some moral or legal obligation.

According to Luke 5:17, as Jesus ministered, “the power of the Lord was present to heal them.” That means He didn’t just minister the Word of God, but also He used His power to help people. There are some things that the Word of God can accomplish for us. But there are some things that only divine intervention can do. This podcast episode encourages believers to believe in God's power for today.
In his first letter to the church at Corinth, Paul the apostle underscores the importance of believing in the power of God. Though he was a man of incredible Bible knowledge and revelation, he did not want the church to get hooked on those things. Accordingly, he came to them as if he only knew the basics of the faith. He said, "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God" (1 Corinthians 2 :5).
Some believers in the body of Christ argue that the power of God manifested as signs and wonders and spiritual gifts are things of the past. They say those extraordinary works ceased with the apostles. But according to the Bible, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

We serve a big God. He does big things. He often calls us to do things that are bigger than we are. How shall we respond? In his letter to the church at Philippi, Paul the apostle writes, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13, KJV). So, Christ was the source of Paul's boldness toward life, no matter what the challenge. Every Christian needs to arrive at a similar conviction in his or her life.
Too often, Christians take these words of Paul out of context. For instance, they do things they want to do and then try to justify their actions by quoting the words of Paul. But when Paul says he can do all things through Christ, he does not literally mean all things. Rather, he is referring to all things that God allows or that God ordains.
We don’t get to choose how life will unfold. No matter how proactive and how vigilant you try to be, sometimes life will deal you what we call a bad hand. And sometimes, God will allow you to endure hardship for a season. But we can overcome all these things--if we believe Christ is our source of strength.

How can you tell whether or not a local church and church leaders hold the Word of God in the highest regard? When local churches prioritize the Word of God, every other part of public worship is secondary to the ministry of the Word of God.
Jesus is our example. Everywhere He went, crowds followed Him. He preached and taught about heaven and everyday life. The people could take what He taught them and use it to grow in their relationship with God. In turn, they could make their homes and marriages better. It is vital for churches and church leaders today to believe that same power still exists in the ministry of the Word of God.
In the early days of the New Testament church, as it grew, there arose a need for church leaders to address the temporal needs of the widows. The apostles acknowledged the complaint to be legitimate. But they also knew it was not a work they should take on. They resolved to prioritize the Word of God. "It is not desirable for us to neglect the word of God in order to serve tables," they said (Acts 6:2, NASB). Church leaders today do well to follow the apostles' example to prioritize the Word of God.

According to the Bible, this world/age as we currently know it will cease to exist one day. One of the most sobering things for us to acknowledge is that God destroyed the previous world. Sobering because if God did it before, it is a real possibility for it to happen again. Only eight souls in the first world were saved. God saved Noah's house because Noah found grace in the eyes of God.
It’s vitally important for the church to talk about the return of the Lord and the end of the world as we currently know it. These days, we tend to preach and act too much like the Lord is never coming back. But His return is not a myth. It’s going to happen because God said so.
Jesus said the end of the world will be as it was in the days of Noah. The world had become so corrupt that God had had enough. He said to Noah, "The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them from the earth" (Gen 6:13, KJV). In this podcast episode, Evangelist Frank King addresses some lessons we can learn from the end of the world in Noah’s day.

Some people feel that theologians make too big a deal about the importance of sound doctrine. But its importance cannot be overemphasized. The truth is that every believer in Christ needs sound doctrine. We need it to help us become the person God wants us to be. Accordingly, Peter writes, "Like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation" (1 Peter 2:3, NASB).
But although sound doctrine is what we need, that’s not what many churchgoers want. It’s kind of like our natural diet. Our body needs foods that are healthy for us, but oftentimes, that’s not what we want. Unhealthy food choices may taste good to us, but they don't do us good. The same thing is true about bad doctrine. It may sound good to us, but it does not do us good. In fact, unhealthy doctrine makes for unhealthy Christians.
It’s not necessarily true that if you attend a so-called Christian local church that the teachings there will be consistent with the Bible. That's why every Christian should be discerning during his search to find a local church where the Word of God is rightly divided.

In our journey with God, the company you keep and the voices you lend your ears to can be hazardous to your health. So many “voices” vie for our attention these days. But it is solely up to us as to which of those voices we will allow to influence us. So, "Whose report will you believe?"
We must not make the mistake of following the majority. Most people in the world today don’t agree with God. Most do not live by faith in God. We know that because most people in the world have rejected Christ as their Savior. That means, among the voices that we hear all around us and trying to speak to us, the majority are wrong. If you want to be blessed in your deeds, you must discern the voices speaking to you.
When the spies returned from checking out the Promised Land, they returned confirming the land was fruitful. But they also said giants were in the Land. Caleb, one of the twelve spies was a man of faith. He said, "We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it" (Numbers 13:30, NASB). But the other 10 spies told the people, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are too strong for us" (verse 31). Whose report will you believe amidst the many voices speaking to you?
